Wellcome to Your Highness Basset Hound`s website!

My name is Hanna and I´m 40 years old  psychiatrist nurse from Finland. I live with my son in east side of Finland,  north of Europe. I have worked  almost 15 years  in mental hospitals with kids, youngsters, older people and drug users.

I´m a Basset Hound  lover and got by first hound on year 2004.  Before basset hounds  I have owned some setters and a bloodhound. That huge bloodhound, Rufus, was my truly love.  I'm still dreaming about a bloodhound  - he/she could be a perfect match in my  friendly basset group.

I´m interesting in art- and animaltherapy. I appraise and respect animal's silent wisdom very much and I would like to learn more about them as much as possible -  it's a great honour  to me.  That's one reason why the name of my kennel is "Your highness" -  other reason is that I think basset hounds have such a superior character....!

Few years ago we moved  to the countryside in the small village called Haukivuori. Haukivuori is located between big lakes. We have a nice old house here with  garden. We have five Basset Hounds and  they all are members of the families. I'm very pleased that I have got wonderful basset hounds from Finnish top kennels - Basstrick's and Hopeless.

I have imported a few basset hounds to Finland  from Sweden, Denmark, Italy and Russian. I would like to say my humble thanks to Lena, Anne-Therese, Barbara and Maria that they let their little ones  a long way from home to me.
